To connect with those of us who have substantial experience with the material advanced by John and Carla Sherman. My brother, son, and I have been in it since 2006.  My son and I attended the 2006 and 2007 fall retreats from which the truth of just one look was discovered, as brother Bill was in Ojai for the 2007 retreat.

We call this the InQuest because of the obvious implications the word suggests.  It was inspired by John’s complaints that “self-inquiry” or “the investigation” didn’t work well for him.  Whether our version has legs is for the apparatus and of little other interest.

John’s book has been our bible.  This website and the work we have dedicated ourselves for years could just as easily been designated as a commentary on what he has said and our interpretation of the meaning.  We also have drawn implications which we believe have and would be approved if John were still around.  Like his statement that the method subtracts from the load of the false belief that we are this life, and are thus at stake.  This suggests that the load has weight and implies that the load each of carries is different, which may explain why this method works quickly for some and not so quickly for others, instead of the conclusion that it depends on how well the method is performed that determines its success.

We will be selecting other insights to place in this website to show our desire to connect with others who grok the method and see it as the best method of all time.
